Product description

Precitec Original Collimating & Focusing Lenses (D30/D37)

Original Precitec optical lenses for fiber-laser cutting heads. Select your Diameter (D30 or D37), Focal Length (F100–F300) and Spec (Collimating / Focusing / Aspheric + power rating). Built for 1 µm Yb-fiber lasers and high-power industrial cutting.

  • Compatibility: Precitec laser heads (verify D30/D37 and focal length before ordering).
  • Types: Collimating (beam collimation) & Focusing (spot formation); aspheric options for high-power heads.
  • Power ratings: 4–30 kW (see variant list).
  • Optics: Laser-grade fused-silica substrates with high-damage-threshold AR coating for 1030–1090 nm.
  • Weight: 0.2 kg per item. Tax-exempt on this store.
  • Packing: Each lens is individually protected and sealed for safe transport.

How to choose the right lens

  1. Confirm diameter on your head label or existing lens: D30 or D37 (must match mechanically).
  2. Identify function:
    • Collimating lens (near the fiber input) converts the diverging beam to a parallel beam.
    • Focusing lens (above the nozzle) concentrates the parallel beam into the cutting spot.
  3. Pick focal length by process needs (shorter F → smaller spot & shallower depth; longer F → larger process window & more standoff).
  4. Match power level: for ≥15 kW, choose aspheric options where noted to reduce aberrations and thermal load.
Tip: Not sure? Send us a photo of your laser-head label and your current lens markings. We’ll confirm compatibility before you buy.

Coating High-power AR coating (low reflectance, high damage threshold)
Available diameters D30, D37 (must match your laser head)
Available focal lengths F100, F125, F150, F200, F250, F300
Weight 0.2 kg per item
Function Collimating (fiber output → parallel beam) / Focusing (parallel beam → cutting spot)
Recommendation Use aspheric versions on high-power heads to reduce aberration and maintain spot quality

Installation & maintenance

  1. Environment: Work in a clean, enclosed, dust-free area. Wear powder-free nitrile gloves and a mask.
  2. Check parts: Verify diameter and F value; inspect O-rings, spacers, and seats for residues.
  3. Orientation: Keep coated surfaces clean; follow manufacturer orientation marks if present.
  4. Mounting: Place gently into the holder; tighten the retaining ring to the manufacturer’s torque (do not overtighten).
  5. Alignment: After collimator replacement, check beam collimation and nozzle centering.

Cleaning guideline

  • Blow off loose particles with filtered, oil-free air from center to edge.
  • Single drag-wipe with lint-free lens tissue lightly wetted with 99.9% IPA; avoid circular scrubbing.
  • Do not touch the surface; never reuse tissues; air-dry in a clean environment.
Warning: A fingerprint or metallic dust can permanently damage coatings at high power. Always inspect the protective window after any lens service.

FAQ

Q1. Do I need an aspheric lens?
For heads ≥15 kW, an aspheric collimating lens (and for 30 kW also the F300 focusing lens) helps maintain beam quality and stability.

Q2. Can I switch between D30 and D37?
No. The diameter must match the head design. Always follow the label or the size of your existing optics.

Q3. Can I combine F100 collimation with F150 focusing?
Yes—collimating and focusing focal lengths are chosen together to achieve the target spot size and standoff; use the same combination as your OEM setup unless process changes are intended.

Q4. What else should be checked or replaced?
Protective window, nozzle, and ceramic ring. A contaminated window can quickly damage a new focusing lens.

Recommended accessories

  • Protective windows (QBH sizes matching your head)
  • Nozzles (single/double layer, conical/straight)
  • Ceramic rings & sensor cables
